Start of a business activity in Alicante

Our multidisciplinary team of economists and lawyers helps entrepreneurs to choose the most appropriate way to start a business activity, explaining all legal obligations and costs about the establishment of a business in Spain.

Beforehand the client chooses the form that best suits their interests, a prior meeting is held to discuss the business activity and to study and indicate if the activity has any specificity. Afterwards, the client is accompanied throughout the process, helping with the translation of documents and their certification at the Notary, if necessary.

We make the registrations of self-employed workers (in Spain autónomos) and limited companies (SL – sociedades limitadas) through an online platform of the Public Administration, to save time for our clients, and allow them to start as soon as possible their business.

The registration of self-employed workers (autónomos) usually takes around two working days, and, for that, we carry out the following tasks:

  • Registration of the Foreigner Identification Number (NIE) in the Tax Agency (Hacienda), if it had not been registered before.
  • Applying for Social Security Number, if the client does not have it.
  • Registration in the Social Security Administration in the Special Regime of Self-Employed Workers (Régimen Especial de Trabajadores Autónomos de Seguridad Social).
  • Registration in the Tax Agency (Hacienda).
  • Registration in the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
  • Registration in the Social Security Administration as an employer, registration of the workplace, registration of the employees and communication of their contracts, if the company is going to have employees.
  • Assistance in the digital signature obtention process, issued by the FNMT necessary for online transactions with the Tax Agency (Hacienda).

 

It normally takes around two weeks maximum to register a limited liability company  (in Spain-SL), and, for that we perform the following tasks:

  • Applying for a certificate to protect the name of the company (Certificado negativo de denominación social).
  • Management and preparation of the information about partners, company, and, when necessary, about the company’s non-monetary contributions.
  • Request the appointment for the establishment of the company before a Notary.
  • Communication of NIE of the partners and managers in the Tax Agency, if it had not been communicated before.
  • Applying for Social Security Number for the company’s manager, if necessary.
  • Registration of the manager in the Special Regime of Self-Employed Workers of the Social Security (RETA).
  • Registration in the Tax Agency (Hacienda).
  • Registration of suppliers / clients and workers in the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos).
  • Registration in the Social Security Administration as an employer, registration of the workplace, registration of the employees and communication of their contracts, if the company is going to have employees.
  • Submission of the form for Stamp Duty (Impuesto de Actos Jurídicos Documentados).
  • Assistance in the digital signature obtention process, issued by the FNMT necessary for telematic transactions with the Tax Agency (Hacienda).
  • Obtention of a Tax Identification Card.
  • Communication of the shareholders’ investment in the limited company by non-residents in Spain.
